The Bachelor Season 16: The Final Rose

Holy Crap, we’ve reached the end my friends. I can’t believe this will all be over in a few short hours (perhaps Ben is thinking the same thing at this exact moment) It’s hard to not read all the tabloid and internet reports, so if he did choose Courtney and we aren’t surprised, I think After the Final Rose will give us enough drama…here we go…

Aww we start the show off with Ben and his family, and we get to see the old Ben(the Ashley Ben) I missed him…I also forgot how much of a ball buster his sister is, I hope she gives Courtney the stink eye. Lindzi comes over and she’s nervous, and it gets kind of awkward. Or maybe I just feel awkward for her, in these situations I just cringe up and moan, I can’t handle it! Stop dropping your fork Lindzi! But she gets through it and tells his mom that she’s fallen for him. Julia Ben’s sister pulls her aside next, and she brings up Courtney and wanting to talk about her and the drama…woah. Lindzi was very PC saying she was very different from Courntey, and she wasn’t here to make friends, but what was the harm of it? Good job. I didn’t really get a warm feeling with his mom and sister and Lindzi, but I also don’t know how warm and fuzzy these people actually are…Mom thinks Lindzi really does love Ben, and that she is a total package and could definitely fit in with the family. (listen to your mom bennnnn)

I LOVE BEN’S SISTER, SHE IS AWESOME. SHE HATES COURTNEY BEFORE SHE EVEN MET HER. AHH ….SHE SCOUFFED AT HER BEING A MODEL. I DIE.

Courtney can you please show some emotions, you just sound so bored when you talk. Ben seems super nervous (and he should) about this meet and greet. And then Courtney is the first to bring up the other girls not liking her (what the…) Courtney tells Ben’s sister that she was really making the effort, and that she could’ve tried a little harder, but it’s all because she was putting up a guard because she was falling for the guy they were all dating. And then she sits down with his mom, nothing really exciting to say there. Ben and his sister sit down, and she says that she is shocked, shocked that she actually likes her (UGH! GROAN! UGH!) and Ben is on cloud nine.

I feel like I just had a moment, where I could see how his mom and sister would feel this way. I did like Courtney in the beginning but then I saw a different side of her, but they don’t see that and Ben doesn’t see that. Maybe she’s being fake, maybe she’s scared and that was her defense mechanism, maybe, just maybe she’s not all that terrible? (wow, I think I just surprised myself)

Ben goes on his last date with Lindzi, and he is such a bad actor, he knows it’s not her, poor girl. And this is the point in the finale where I start to get sad pants for the runner up. She tells him she loves him, and sees a life with him. (And you can hear the crickets chirping) not quite, he reassures her, and happy that she got to that point.

And then it’s Courtney’s last date with Ben, and the last time we see a helicopter, maybe? Oh my god I don’t know what happened to me, but I kind of like them together? She may have fooled me too! But I see them enjoying each other and being goofy, and that’s the old Ben I loved. Can we all forgive and forget what she’s done? I’m so confused, damn you ABC! Ben just has a twinkle in his eye when he looks at Courtney, is it sooo wrong? People can you see how conflicted I am?!? She gives Ben a photo album, filled with photos of all their times together, and then reads to him her card. (I personally would’ve loved a voice over as Ben looked off into the mountain skyline, but maybe that’s over done?) And then Courtney starts to kind of freak out in her voice overs, she’s really nervous that Ben is going to do to her what Ashley did to him, and she’s scared. I don’t know which was is up with this girl, I hope I get some answers after the final rose.

And the day has come!!!!! Will Neil Lane show up? We can’t have the finale without him? Ahh there here is! And of course Ben goes “nice to see you again” LOL.

They both choose to wear black which is interesting, and CAPES how GLAM! Ben had to hike it up the mountain, and the ladies of course took helicopters. And Lindzi is the first out, which is never a good sign (but I think her dress is more of a navy now that I see it in daylight) and Chris adds a new skill to his bachelor resume: cape holder. Ben, lets her down telling her he fell in love with her, but didn’t think it would last a lifetime. She’s too nice to say anything hurtful, and instead places the blame on herself. And then goes….if things don’t work out, call me. (LOVES IT) And then Courtney shows up, still rocking her fancy gloves (giirll how is he going to put a ring on it?) “I wouldn’t get down on one knew unless knew it would be forever, you are my forever” (awww) she freaks out and gets all giddy (even you cynical people can’t help but smile!)

The Bachelor After the Final Rose

First of all, Ben is looking kinda cute…but let’s get to it…so Ben admits that they broke up for a period of time. They both agreed they thought it would be best to not continue until the negatively is over with. Very organic method guys. He denies kissing a girl (these are old photos) and then they talked about messing with people and having Courtney defer the bad media attention on Ben and try on wedding dresses and get photographed, just to shake things up. Courtney comes out (strategically wearing a white bodycon dress) Courtney admits that it was all her fault, and she felt terrible. She felt that Ben was supportive and then felt abandoned. Chris is really trying to get Courtney back on the public’s side, and making Ben kind of look like a scmuck. Meanwhile, the crowd needs to lighten up. The eye rolling is out of control. Do you really care what he is doing with his life, or hers for that matter? Let them live their life, and I think that’s what people forget…because you see so much of their journey and relationship, you think you can judge and I know during the season I am guilty of this as well, but at the end of the day what I watched is just an overly produced show, and what they have to do is find a way to live this life together, hopefully without the scrutiny of America. (stepping off my soap box) I feel like they are forced to defend themselves…and they are, so I guess good for them??

And there we have it, another Bachelor Season has come to an end. Tear. P.S. Where was Lindzi? Hopefully hanging with her hottie new BF that she deserves to have :)
