It’s almost over ladies and gents
(actually I’m not sure how many gents a. watch the bachelor and b. would
stumble upon this blog…but I’d love to know!) Ben, Nicki, Courtney, and Lindzi
are off to Switzerland, which is a nice change of pace for the last leg of The
Bachelor journey, I find it refreshing…even though I’m sure there will be a
gazillion helicopters. My impression, before seeing the episode, Lindzi would
be the best and smartest choice for Ben. He could have a real life, kids,
family everything with her. She is adorable, beautiful, loves the outdoors, he
connected with her family. Deep down I do believe Courtney may be it, and if
that’s the case ABC should definitely snatch up Lindzi to be the next next
Bachelorette…(can we skip over Emily pa-lease!) Off to the over night dates…oohh
la la (I’m scared to watch the Courtney one, it might be X rated!)
Nicki
Ohhh hey a helicopter ride…that lands on
top of a mountain, a very, very tall mountain. It’s beautiful. Nicki is just giddy,
and Ben is very stoic, I’d really like to see him let loose with her (maybe he
will tonight, nudge nudge wink wink, eww) and then the helicopter leaves them
and they are forced to climb down the mountain and find their way home…errr
wouldn’t that be amazing…see if their relationship could really survive that! But
alas, the helicopter picks them up and takes them to a quaint log cabin, filled
with candles and an open fire (aww). Wow and then they start talking KIDS
people. Ben says 4, Nicki says 2. I get really excited for her when she talks
about her future with Ben, Nicki awkwardly accepts the fantasy suite card.
(this girl is swooning over the fantasy suite)
Lindzi
Lindzi shows up sans coat, and Ben does not
offer her his coat or gloves, when he clearly had a sweatshirt on, I don’t think
this is going to work out…duuudde. This date they are propelling down a 300ft
cliff. Onto jagged rocks. NBD. And then gallivant off into a barrel hot tub. In
Ben’s monologue he says he loves her, but is worried that they might not be
able to get to a great level of intimacy and truth. During dinner Ben asks about
how the experience has been for her, and she talks about all the walls she put
up and how she’s let them all fall down and become more vulnerable. Aww and
then she tells Ben that she is falling for him and would like to see this end
with a proposal…and Ben’s face lights up! Whoa they are on the bed and I think I
see butt! (super short dress, riding up, it’s bound to happen) Ben seems really
into Courtney, it makes me happy.
Courntey
Ben looks kind of adorable in his little
peacoat. And then Karl chimes in…they do look kind of cute together, he’s a douche
and she’s a bitch. Aww an outsiders perspective. I think Courtney’s date is my
most favorite of them all, they take a train to a small little town and they
shop around and explore, it’s the most real, or close to real life, which I enjoy
not everything has to be helicopter rides and crazy stunts. They set up a
picnic (obviously) and they start to have a heated debate about Courtney and
the other girls. And then in her diary video tape she starts sobbing and saying
she would never want to hurt him, and she loves him and all that bull…she’s a
model, not an actress. Then she talks in circles with Ben about how that’s not
who she is, and this experience brought out the worst in her. Ben seems to eat
it up, and says the conversation has laid to rest. Then Ben claims that the
fantasy suite is a big step, big step (did you forget about skinny dipping?) so
they could have uninterrupted….pause. pause (we shouted sex) time together…
Ben’s feeling really good, and clear
headed until…Kacie B shows up at Ben’s door! So so so awkward. She very openly
tells Ben she wants answers. Ben explains that they were world’s apart,
different backgrounds, and he couldn’t give her everything she needed. And he
wanted to protect her from the end, because she wouldn’t be picked and he didn’t
want to drag it out. (cue the dramatic piano chords)…She tells him then, if he
were to choose Courtney he would get his heart broken, telling him she sees her
that she’s in it to win it. She tells him if it’s not going to be her she doesn’t
want to see him get hurt, in choosing Courtney (meanwhile I am loving ALLL of
this, he has to believe her right because she cares about him so much??) And
then he walks her out, and she lays down on the hallway floor?
Rose Ceremony
Ben’s confused, and seems a little angry.
And his voice gets really high pitched when he says “confused” so he must mean
business. This may be the most dramatic rose ceremony, I am DYING to know if Kacie
had enough power to sway his decsion. Moment of truth…And Lindzi gets the first
rose!!! Yeah girl! (clock ringing in background, and then silence) and Courtney
gets the second. Poor Nicki…he admits to her that he started to have doubts,
and he was super sad about it, and even cried. Nicki kind of relays the same
message to Ben, saying that she hopes he doesn’t end up hurt. BEN, how could
you NOT get it yet?
And next week...The Bachelor, Women Tell All!
